Welcome to the University of Oregon
GAO KAO AND THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
We are offering admission based on Gao Kao results without needing to submit additional test results. We have made the application process simple and fast. Complete the following steps and we will give you an admission decision quickly.
Applicants who submit the above will be considered for Conditional Admission. Conditionally admitted students start at UO’s English language school, American English Institute, and will automatically enroll in their degree program after their English language training.
Applicants who want to be fully admitted and begin their degree program in fall 2019 may submit additional test results to prove English proficiency.
Applicants will also need to submit financial documents in order to meet the US government student visa requirements.
All documents may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
*While we will use unofficial Gao Kao results or unofficial high school transcripts for admission, students must submit official Gao Kao results or official high school transcripts before they enroll.
本科生有条件录取 CONDITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION
The University of Oregon may offer you conditional admission if you are an international student who requires English language instruction before you can begin your studies at the university level. If you are conditionally admitted, you will attend the American English Institute (AEI) to study English in an intensive environment. A unit within the College of Arts and Sciences, the AEI is a world-class English language institute located in the heart of the UO campus.
To apply for conditional admission, complete the UO application. For the section called "Request Conditional Admission," simply check the "Yes" box on the one question that appears on that page. Students requesting conditional admission must meet all of the university's international admission requirements except the English proficiency requirement. If you are determined to be fully admissible, you will still have all the same resources available to you as a conditionally admitted student.
Upon completing the highest level of English instruction at the AEI, you will be granted full admission to the UO.

but do not lead to a degree on their own.
As an undergraduate you may apply for admission as a freshman or a transfer student.

Once you are admitted to the UO, you can apply for housing online at housing.uoregon.edu/apply. All incoming first-year undergraduate students live on campus. Our ten residence halls offer many room types, including traditional double rooms, single rooms, and 4 or 6-person suites. A meal plan is included in your room and board rate. You can choose from one of five plans, depending on how often you would like to eat in the on-campus dining halls. We also have specialized halls called Academic Residential Communities where you can live with other students based on an academic program or other theme.
After their first year, many students move out of the residence halls. There are many off-campus housing options in safe, clean, and friendly Eugene. The UO offers an online service that allows students to browse local rental listings.
